The coverage calculation now only considers completed trips and no replacement transport. You can select specific stations in the station map search even if they are very close together. We added additional actions in the top left corner when editing trips, including share, download, and add onward trip. We also improved image and video exports that caused errors in some cases, and fixed a timezone display issue in the timetable search. Additional operators you assign to trips are now considered in the operator statistics. You can also view operators that have not been used in the operator statistics.
Rail Network Update
We have updated the rail network and fixed reported routing issues.
More Detailed Rail Network Geometry - Step 2
Route geometries for existing trips have now been recalculated and updated. These trips should also display more detailed curves on the map.
The supported map zoom level has been increased, so routes can now be viewed in greater detail.
Some trips could not be updated automatically. These have been marked in the data check as “Low quality route” and should be reviewed manually.
Trip from file (beta)
viaduct can now turn ticket photos, screenshots, and booking confirmations into trips automatically. Just upload a JPG, PNG, or PDF, review the extracted trip details, and make any changes before saving. Nothing is added without your approval. viaduct patrons get additional upload credits.
Trip and journey videos (beta)
Patrons can now create animated videos of individual trips and journeys. Generate and share your rail stories in three formats: 4:5, 9:16 for reels, or 16:9 for platforms like YouTube. This beta feature is available exclusively for patrons due to the compute resources required.
Username improvements
Everyone on viaduct has a unique username now. You can change it in the account settings.
Spring release 2026
Spring is here, and so is a new major viaduct update. You can now optionally publish your journeys to your public viaduct profile while keeping everything private by default. Share your trips and journeys as visual summaries (sharepics), and explore more detailed operator statistics. We've also added a new data check to help investigate and improve trip data. GPX exports are now available exclusively for patrons. More features, improvements, and bug fixes will be rolled out over the next few weeks.

More Detailed Rail Network Geometry - Step 1
We have updated the rail network to a new version that stores curves with greater detail. Newly created trips are now saved with higher precision. This is a preparation step to support additional zoom levels on the map.
Please report any routing issues, missing links, or similar problems via email or through the ideas board — we will be happy to fix them.
We will also recalculate the curves of existing trips soon so routes become more detailed.

Bugfix: Change Journey Name
We have released a bug fix, so renaming journeys should now be possible again.
Updated trips list and preview
The trips list spans the full page width when you enable additional columns. This update should reduce horizontal scrolling on larger screens. The "edit trip" button now acts as a regular link so you can open trips in separate browser tabs.

A closer look at tags
The tag overview has been improved on both mobile and desktop. Tags can now be sorted, and clicking on a tag opens a new detail page with related statistics and a list of all trips using that tag.
